I don't shoot a lot with telephoto lenses. This photo was taken with a lens of 120mm focal length. This isn't that long for a 35mm film frame, but it gave me a little more reach into this scene. Handy when we civilians had been ordered to step back.

These police were donning their gas masks in preparation for the deployment of tear gas. You can see a supervisor in the background (vest and ball cap) helping ready one of the unit. Training day. A hockey riot is a great time to practice tactics.

I like this photo because of the eye contact being made by the kneeling riot cop. He is still buckling up and hasn't fully transformed from person to machine. This contrasts nicely with his standing compatriot who is fully equipped.
