This is a rather pedestrian shot. Ha ha. Made a pun. I hadn't looked at it much until making this gallery, but it has some quiet merits.

I like the colour, the soft evening light. I like the gentle composition. My eye strolls down the hill just like the people in the photo. I like the mood of the photo.

I've included it here at the end of this (long) portfolio because I think it captures the feel of our time, sleepwalking to disaster, comfortable us, we'd rather landscape elaborate recreations than confront our decadence and avoid ecological collapse. The twilight of our civilization.

And yes, I was playing golf too. Yes, curating photographs is an elaborate recreation. And yes, the previous paragraph includes a run-on sentence followed by a sentence fragment — we are talking the end of civilization after all.
